Snowflake Sizzle
Remember the paper snowflakes you loved to cut in grammar school? They’re back, they’re fabulous, and they are on this wall hanging perfect for winter. Two snowflake motifs are included in the pattern; use those exclusively or have fun folding and cutting freezer paper (folding directions included) to come up with your own. Syncopated Christmas
Syncopated Christmas uses the same sort of funky cutting and piecing techniques as Syncopated Ribbons, but the smaller blocks and mixing of green and cream colored blocks are arranged to form a wreath pattern. An optional machine appliqued bow completes the effect. A great quilt for using up all those leftover Christmas scraps we all have! Full color instructions. Pattern makes a 48" square wallhanging.

Sunflower and Sky
The first of four in a seasonal quilt series entitled Beaded Blooms, “Sunflower and Sky” (summer) combines a simple pieced background, machine appliqué, and beaded embellishment to create a 32” x 15” wall hanging featuring an elegant sunflower. Using several different prints in the same tones and values for the background and again for the different elements of the flower lends depth and movement to the otherwise simple design; creating a realistic seeded center with buttons and beads is a fanciful and eyecatching element that has created quite a stir wherever “Sunflower and Sky” has been displayed since its creation. “Sunflower and Sky” originally appeared on the cover of Cotton Spice in September of 2007.

Winter Whites
The second of four in a seasonal quilt series entitled Beaded Blooms, “Winter Whites” (winter)uses the same pieced background, machine appliqué, and beaded embellishment techniques as "Sunflower and Sky" to create a 32” x 15” wall hanging featuring white poinsettias. Poinsettia colors can of course vary, and the flower shapes are versatile enough that a quilter could turn them into magnolias if they wished. Fill 'Em Up!
These fun Christmas stockings were the result of a friend and I designing some festive appliques for some new stockings for her family. I loved them so much I decided to make some for my family as well, and Fill 'Em Up! was born! One is shown here, but the pattern includes five applique shapes: candy canes, Christmas tree, holly, and snowman in addition to the ornaments shown here. Stockings are strip pieced and fully lined, and measure 7.5" across at the top, 11.5" wide at the toe, and are 17.5" long; the perfect "not too big, not too small" size. These stockings are a wonderful gift idea and are appropriate for a confident beginner and up. $8.00 |
