Feelin' Hot Hot Pink

Welcome to 2010, the (gasp!) 5th year for EvaPaige Quilt Designs! It is amazing to think that it all started with my baby, Feelin' Hot Hot Pink, still pictured here on the homepage for now, and has grown by a dozen more patterns, workshops, and a trunk show since then. I thank you for finding my website and invite you to explore it and hope you find something that might pique your creativity in the "fun over fuss" way that I like my patterns to do. If you like innovative slicing and piecing techniques that don't demand perfection, vibrant colors, and even some fun embellishment, you've come to the right place. As always, quilters of all levels are invited just to grab a pile of fabric and start playing and creating!

Announcing my first book - Once Upon a Time: Fairy Tale Puzzle Quilts!

"Once Upon a Time" is just a little bit different from other quilting books; instead of being a book of several different projects designed with one idea or technique in mind, this book is meant to be used as a whole, allowing quilters to create a totallly unique fairy tale puzzle quilt by making choices on layout, background block designs and sizes, applique shapes, embellishments, and borders from the many options in each category. There are many options given in each category, from layouts to borders, and you as the quilter make the decisions along the way to create a quilt that is unlike any other. Kind of like a Mad Lib for quilters, if you will. It is also my hope that each of the elements I outline can be used as you design more quilts on your own. Really a great primer on machine applique, embellishment, and is a nice seque for those who have never designed a quilt on their own, but might be willing to do so with a little guidance. Anyone with a little princess in their life will want to check this out! Available from Quiltwoman.com or ask for it at your local quilt shop.

Shop owners,
are you looking for a new BOM program for your shop? Look no further! "Once Upon a Time" allows for a fun BOM program that can be used by your customers to create a completely individual fairy tale puzzle quilt in just 10 months. Along the way they will learn or further master machine applique and have a ball with embellishments that can both enhance and personalize the finished product. Click Block of the Month to download a free pdf of the program.
